Her paintings reflect her abiding interest in the power and majesty of the sea
Maggie was born and brought up in Aberdeenshire, and had keen interest in the visual arts in her youth.
As well as solo and group shows in a large number of Scottish galleries, Maggie was the driving force behind the End of the Pier Shows held for a number of years in the fishing village of Crovie. One major seascape painted at Crovie was bought for the Royal Bank's collection and an obsession with the dramatic shoreline at Skateraw in East Lothian translated into a number of commissions for local collectors.
While painting 'John Henry', Maggie has been busy preparing for an ambitious group exhibition, Caledonia/Catalonia, to be held this autumn in Salvador Dali's Cadaqu's.
