Rosanne Barr is a newly elected Artist Member of the GSWA. At the age of 29 years she has already established a following, with solo shows at galleries including The Green Gallery, The Annan Gallery and The Atholl Gallery. She has also had invitations to exhibit at numerous galleries and Art Fairs throughout the UK. Rosanne has most prominently being selected for the RGI Annual Open Exhibition in Glasgow, and was a Finalist in the 2009 TSB Jolomo Awards and as a result, her work was exhibited at The Royal Opera Arcade Gallery.
She was born in the village of Gartocharn , and grew-up to love the far north-west of Scotland. This passion reflects in Rosanne's work, which explores the rugged coastlines and dramatic skies of Scotland. In 2003 she graduated First Class Honours from Duncan of Jordanstone. Later that year, at the British Design Centre and at The Mall Galleries, she gained a Licentiate of Distinction from the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
