Her aim is to capture a moment in time when sunlight dances across a bloom
Karen's formal training as a graphic designer and initial career with the BBC led her to discover the world of digital design and animation. Since then Karen has built a successful independent London business using the latest technology to develop her creativity.
Karen currently lives and works in Berkshire, and has recently returned to the joy of working in traditional media, particularly oils. She now uses this medium to represent the beauty and luxuriousness of flowers, and creates floral paintings that are bold and fluid using strong form and line with a highly perceptive and painterly representation of light and shade casting across and around each flower head. Her work often creates the illusion of sensuous landscapes and tumultuous seas from the petals of a peony or a lily whilst the unfurling of roses can echo the twirling dresses of flamenco dancers.
