Themes of fragility, pattern and light, as well as a repetitive and obsessive approach which embraces an intimacy with the works
Anna Masters is a London-based visual artist, whose practice ranges from large-scale installations to detailed, realist paintings. Consistent throughout Masters' practice has a sensitivity towards material and form; the resulting works suggest an intimacy born from a concentrated period of study, investigation and manipulation. Often notable within her work is a sense of temporality and displacement, whilst the delicate nature of her works allow her to employ light, pattern and texture as integral subjects within the work.
Masters graduated from Staffordshire University in 2005 with a First Class Honours Degree and Post-Graduate Certificate in Fine Art. She obtained a distinction for her Masters Degree in Arts Policy and Management in 2010, and has exhibited in London and across the UK.
